If you love to bake, this is another must-have cookbook for your shelves! The recipes are easy to follow and marked for level of difficulty-so you know how much time you may be investing in the process. The recipes I’ve tried have turned out well-how about some Chewy Chocolate-Peppermeing Cookies? Or perhaps a Peanut Butter Banana Cake? You won’t be sorry you added this cookbook to your collection!

This book delivers, and has now become my go-to for baking. Loads of information and delightful recipes provide lovely results every single time.
Tonight my cold weather bean/vegetable soup supper was lifted out of the ordinary with ‘Cornin Around Bread’. . . so delicious I had to keep myself from going past the second piece. Kris, thank you for the real joy of baking.

I absolutely LOVE this book! I think I am most excited about the garlic cheese (bettah chedda?)biscuits, absolute heaven, and something I had figured I would never have again. There are plenty of old favorites, like my favorite chocolate cake recipe, but veganized, and “gas station” pies as well as plenty of intersting muffins, cookies, and breads.
My absolute favorite part of this book is the kid’s section, partially because it’s so rare for kids to have their own special section in grown up cookbooks, especially vegan ones (I know many authors mark kid-friendly, but mainly because there are recipes suitable for easy bake ovens!!! I’m sure that’s not on the top of the list for many, but as the mother of a toddler it’s nice to know that my daughter can have tiny little recipes just for her. And even if you don’t have the easy bake (I don’t) instructions for a toaster oven are generously included. Not to mention the quick, easy recipes can be a lifesaver if you realize last minute you have to be somewhere with non-vegan cake and a 2 year old.
My only *small* complaint is the index could be slightly improved but the book is laid out well enough that really isn’t much of an issue at all. I just like to be able to look up by a particular ingredient and for some reason the index doesn’t work that way. No big deal, though, it’s easy enough to read the index straight through what is there and find it that way.
